Hisaroni Ban of japanese architecture practice bandesign has completed a family home that features a hidden garden obscured from the passing street. Positioned alongside a river in a busy residential area of Komaki city, the long 500 square meter scheme is divided in half, with the dwelling located at the western edge of the plot.
A two and a half meter-tall concrete wall surrounds the site’s perimeter, protecting a private sunken garden from potential onlookers. From inside the house, residents are afforded views of a green landscape that offers pleasant external sightlines. Additionally, the hill serves another function, containing within it a 30 meter-long geothermal tube that helps regulate and stabilize temperatures inside the property.

“Hisaroni Ban” da Bandesign completou uma casa familiar que esconde um jardim de quem passa na rua. Posicionada ao longo de um rio numa movimentada zona residencial da cidade de Komaki, a longa forma com 500 metros quadrados é dividida a meio, estando a casa locada no canto ocidental.
Um muro de betão com dois metros e meio rodeia todo o perímetro, protegendo o jardim submerso de possíveis espectadores. Do interior da casa, os moradores têm vistas para uma paisagem verde carregada de ângulos. Adicionalmente, o monte tem outra função, esconde no seu interior um tubo geotérmico de 30 metros de comprimento que ajuda a regular e a estabilizar as temperaturas do interior da propriedade.
